WhatsApp, by hitting 900 million users last September has officially became the number one instant messaging application worldwide. Since its acquisition by Facebook in 2014, many updates have been released. However, launching WhatsApp calling feature marked a turning point and put it in a very rough and a very serious competition with Viber. Thanks to its ease of use and high quality of voice, and since WhatsApp already had a bigger database of users, WhatsApp calling feature has gained many users in no time.
Unfortunately, and just like its competitor, shortly after WhatsApp calling feature has been announced, the feature was blocked in both Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates. Expats in both countries started searching for methods to unblock WhatsApp calling since it’s a very crucial and very beneficial feature for them that allows them to make international calls for free using only their Internet connection.
